New York City will soon be host to a new private school, World Class Learning Academy, New York, offering a cutting-edge model of education that reflects the international character of the City itself. Called the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), this highly-respected, internationally-recognized curriculum is used in over 900 schools in 58 countries worldwide. World Class Learning Academy, a school opening in September 2010 on the Manhattan’s Lower East Side, will offer the IPC as the centerpiece of its learning program initially to children ages 3-11 (Pre-K through 5th Grade).

The key to the successful outcomes of students at World class Learning Academy, New York and the other world class learning schools is the personalized approach to student’s learning; each student has an individual learning plan that sets out goals specific to the child. The child understands their individual goals and how to work towards attainment of these goals; teachers assess and monitor progress, setting new targets and a personalized learning plan as the child progresses.
