New staff arrive in Doha

10 new expatriate teachers arrived in Doha yesterday to start their induction programme at CISD. The teachers have a broad range of international experience and have been carefully selected to maintain and improve the learnign environment at CISD.
The staff were met at Doha International Airport by Head Teacher, John Todd, Primary Principal, Pauline Markey, Secondary Principal, Julian Cottenden, and Administration Manager, Judy Mond.
Staff were take to their new accommodation and will start a full induction programme on Saturday morning. Over the next week, they will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Doha and CISD and will be taken through the immigration formalities to obtain their Residence Permit.
Ann McPhee, Director of Education and Leanring for the WCL Group, will introduce them to the WCL Group and CISD on Tuesday morning as they begin the formal training in preparation for the new school year. A two day programme on the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International General Certificate of Seconday Education (IGCSE) will refresh and prepare staff for the challenges of the new term.
